Service Description:
|
Supports for people who are experiencing vision loss that cannot be corrected by glasses, contact lenses, or surgery * services include vision assessments, vision aids and counselling
Services:- eye exams and visual field testing for the Ministry of Transportation's Vision Waiver Program
- assess eligibility and provide prescription, fitting, and training for individuals pursuing bioptic driving
- vision assessment, treatment plans, assistive device training
- individual and family counselling for people adapting to vision loss
- referrals to government programs and other resources; coordination with external health-care providers

$240 * coverage usually provided if receiving Ontario Disability Support Program and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities Program

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Ages 3 and up whose vision cannot be fully corrected through glasses, contact lenses or surgery and who is struggling with tasks such as reading, writing and using the computer.
