Service Description: Provides the Supports for Daily Living program to the residents of John R. Rhodes Seniors Residence and eligible individuals living in the surrounding Kerr Street neighbourhood
  • from Dorval Drive east to Queen Mary Drive * from Speers Rd S to Lakeshore Rd

Personal support services include:
  • personal care (bathing, mouth and.or hair care, preventative skin care)
  • personal support/assistance (dressing,undressing, assistance with medication, exercising, reassurance and safety checks)
  • homemaking services (light housekeeping and laundry, meal services)

Fees: None - when eligible for support for daily living personal support services * emergency response system if required (minimal monthly charge)
Application: Application for housing at 271 Kerr St must first be made to HATCH - Halton Access to Coordinated Housing * the applicant must also meet housing requirements (age 60)

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Designed to support high risk seniors, aged 65 or older, who have complex needs, and who are medically stable
These services are currently available to individuals who live in their own private home, or within a residential setting such as an apartment building or senior citizens’ residence within the boundaries noted above or demonstrate a need via a Community Health Assessment for daily access to personal support services throughout a 24 hour period (with or without homemaking services) on a frequent basis or are able to direct their own care or have a substitute decision maker or a live-in caregiver to direct care or are able to communicate their needs (with or without aides)
