Service Description: Responsible for ensuring that Halton has an Emergency Management Program, as required by law, to enhance the safety of Halton residents and reduce property damage and economic loss in the event of an emergency.

When an emergency occurs within Halton, the Regional Emergency Plan can be invoked if requested by the affected municipality, if the emergency involves more than one municipality, or if the emergency response requires extraordinary action or expenditures by one or more regional service.
