Service Description: Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC):
  • training to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills
  • available at campuses in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville

Occupation-specific Language Training (OSLT):
  • a program for people who are internationally trained and need to improve their workplace communication skills within a specific profession
  • minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores of 6

Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Pathways:
  • a program for people who are internationally trained and need to improve English language skills
  • teaches career-specific English language, employment preparation and Canadian culture
  • minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores of 6

Fees: None * Most programs are free of charge to approved candidates

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Canadian status is one of the following:
* permanent resident
* convention refugee (Notice of Decision)
* government assisted refugee (GAR)
* privately sponsored refugee (PSR)
* for Workplace programs: post-secondary education, relevant work experience and CLB benchmarks are required

* all applicants must complete a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment at a Language Assessment Centre
