Service Description: Family-governed independent facilitation organization dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities and assisting them to take up their full citizenship in the community.

Guelph-Wellington independent facilitator works out of an office in Guelph.

Facilitation and planning support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Independent facilitators support engagement of others in an ongoing relationship so that the individual can become more capable of directing their life and making decisions to the degree possible.
  • support to determine the most pressing issues
  • help to identify a way forward in the immediate and long range future
  • support to broaden the planning context
  • reaches out to rural and suburban aging families who need transition planning support

Meeting: Annual General Meeting
Fees: No membership fee ; facilitation and planning support provided free of charge currently (2015-2018) within the context of MCSS Independent Facilitation Demonstration Project.
Application: Currently, referrals are made through the local Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) office.
Interested individuals should request referral to the Independent Facilitation Project funded by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS).
