TorchLight also operates the TeleCheck Dufferin Program (Orangeville, 519-415-3764), a daily call-out check-in service that supports the safety of older adults who wish to live independently in their homes. Calls are delivered each morning, starting at 8.30 am, seven days a week, by a team of volunteers and staff.

Service Description: Free, anonymous, telephone-based listening service.

Telephone listening service for people who may be feeling isolated or confused * support for people who are experiencing distress about their circumstances * support and referral to community services * training provided for volunteers in the community on listening and communication skills, solution-focused conversation, and on suicide and suicide intervention / prevention
